Women's History Month Books For Kids

What a time to be alive as a woman! We have come so far as a gender but we still have a ways to go. This year's theme for International Women's Day, on March 8th, was #endthebias. While much of this is targeted towards the workplace I strongly believe that the eradication of gender bias begins at home. It starts with how we empower our girl child and also how we equitably treat children of the different genders. While these may be big topics to discuss with children - there's nothing like a good children's book to break it down and make it palatable for them. So here it is - a list of children's books that celebrate the accomplishments and importance of women:

1. A is for Awesome

2. Dream Big Little One & Think Big Little One

3. Little Leaders: Bold Women in Black History

4. The Story of Ruby Bridges

5. She Persisted (Book Series)

6. Little Feminist Board Book Set
