🔢 The Science of Math: How Children Actually Learn It

Math is often seen as a subject of right and wrong answers, memorized facts, and timed tests. But beneath the worksheets and flashcards lies something much deeper: a fascinating blend of brain development, psychology, and real-world discovery. Understanding the science behind how children learn math can completely change how we teach it and how kids experience it. Math Is More Than Numbers At its core, math is about recognizing patterns, relationships, and structures. Kids' Kindness Acts for World Kindness Week!

It's Monday November 13, 2023 the beginning of World Kindness week and a beautiful day to celebrate and promote kindness. Happy World Kindness Day and Week! 💚

Whether big or small we can all do random acts of kindness anytime and anywhere and we can teach our children to do the same.

Here are some ways in which children can show acts of kindness today or any day:

1. Write a letter or draw a picture for a grandparent or a family member who lives far away.

2. Bake cookies or cupcakes and deliver them to a neighbor or friend.

3. Hold the door open for someone who has their hands full.

4. Pick up litter at a park or on the street.

5. Offer to help a younger child with their homework or school project.

6. Donate old toys, clothes or books to a local charity.

7. Say hello to a stranger and give them a smile.

8. Help an elderly neighbor with their yard work or grocery shopping.

9. Make a homemade card for someone who is sick or going through a hard time.

10. Donate money or fundraising efforts to a local animal shelter or rescue organization.

Remember, acts of kindness can be big or small, and it's the thought and effort that counts. Encourage your child to come up with their own ideas and share the positive impact they can have on others.
